National Skill Training Institute (NSTI), Haldwani formerly called Advanced Training Institute (ATI) / Model Industrial Training Institute (MITI) was established under the aegis of Government of India, Ministry of Labour & Employment and presently Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Directorate General of Training for Mechanical Group of trades under Restructured Pattern in June,1981 primarily with the objective for the training of Craftsman Training Scheme in Mechanical Group of Trades for Industries.
The Institute is situated in a sprawling area of 11 acres of land at a distance of 2.5 kms. From the Railway Station, Kathgodam. The campus of the institute is having well equipped workshop, faculties and teaching aids (smart class room with interactive board). The institute is also equipped with Audio-Visual Aids and Library.
